(Photo HP) Fast charging is not the first feature many people would think to look for in a gaming mouse, but HP has embraced it to offer us the world's fastest charging USB-C rodent. The Omen Vector Wireless mouse uses a PixArt PAW3335 sensor to offer a DPI of between 100 and 16,000, with the default set as 1,600. HP also boasts it has a tracking accuracy of 99 percent, a tracking speed of 400 IPS, acceleration up to a maximum of 40G, and a report rate of 1ms. Six programmable buttons are available and they use Omron mechanical switches for a 50 million click lifetime, and as seems to be the default on many gaming mice today: RGB lighting is available, with two zones consisting of the scroll wheel and a diamond under where your palm sits. While that all sounds impressive in terms of usability for gaming, it's battery performance and charging where the Vector really seems to shine. HP is promising up to 180 hours of use from a single full charge, which takes just 90 minutes. However, fast charging allows for some very short charge times, ranging from 30 seconds for an hour of use up to 15 minutes getting you 30 hours. Need the Vector to last late into the night for an extended gaming session? Charge it for five minutes and get 10 hours of use.Included in the box with the Vector mouse is a wireless USB Type-A mouse dongle and a USB-C to USB-A cable for charging. Compatibility is listed as Windows 10 only for now. You can pick up the Omen Vector today direct from HP for $99.99. If you see it elsewhere for $60, be aware that there's also a wired version of the Vector around that price point. Further Reading Computer Mouse Reviews Computer Mouse Best Picks
