Signify's Philips Hue brand is making it easy to bring movie theater vibes into your home with two new smart lighting devices: the Philips Hue Play light bar and Signe table and floor lamps, which flood your walls with a pop of color. Play (above) comes in black and white and can sit horizontally or vertically next to your TV, or be mounted to the wall, offering a colorful lighting effect. Connect it to the Philips Hue Bridge and app to select from 16 million different colors for it to shine. Plus, the company's Hue Sync app for PC or Mac lets you sync the smart light with your movies, music, and games. "Feel like you're at the cinema when snuggled up on your sofa, bring a whole new level of excitement and immersion to your gaming experience, or perhaps you want to recreate the colors of your last tropical getaway at home; it's all possible with Philips Hue Play," Signify wrote in a news release. Meanwhile, the new Signe table and floor lamps are designed to "create an indirect lighting effect in white and color ambiance light," Signify wrote. "They can be used to accent a special feature in the room, or for brightening up a dark space – creating just the right mood for any occasion." The Play light bar will be available in the US and Canada in late October at $69.95 for one or $129.95 for two. The Signe lamps will go on sale next month; a table lamp version is priced at $169.99 while the floor lamp is $269.99. "Our latest lamp designs provide new ways for people to create personalized lighting experiences in their homes," Jasper Vervoort, head of marketing and product management, home systems and luminaires at Signify, said in a statement. "Whether its ambiance creation or making gaming and music truly immersive, our new Philips Hue Play and Philips Hue Signe are two sleek lamps designed to transform your living space."
