Terms of use. The Apple Card is finally here. Apple's first credit card can live as a virtual card in your Apple Wallet and be used for purchases wherever Apple Pay is accepted, or you can snag a physical titanium card. Launched in partnership with Mastercard and Goldman Sachs, Apple Card promises no annual or international fees and doles out "Daily Cash" points that can be used or applied to your card balance the next day. All you need to get started is an iPhone running iOS 12.4 or higher, an iCloud account, and an Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled. The application process is designed to be simple, but there are several steps involved. Here's everything you need to know about signing up for and using your Apple Card, both online and in stores. Apple Pay vs. Apple Cash vs. Apple Card Apple now has three different payment services to choose from, so you'll be forgiven if you get confused between Apple Pay, Apple Cash, and Apple Card, all of which work together and live inside the iOS Wallet app.Apple Pay is a mobile payment service allowing users to add and manage their credit and debit cards in the Wallet app; it can be used for App Store or online purchases, and for in-store contactless payment transactions.Apple Cash is a peer-to-peer payment service that primarily exists inside iMessage. Think of it as Apple's answer to Venmo. Users can send and request money directly from the messaging screen. The balance is kept in a separate account inside the Wallet app, which can then be sent to your connected bank account, used to pay off your Apple Card balance, or spent through Apple Pay.Apple Card is a credit card that sits inside the Wallet ecosystem. Aside from being a standalone card, it can also be used as a payment method with Apple Pay. The card's Daily Cash rewards are sent to the user's Apple Cash balance, which can then be moved elsewhere. What Is My Apple Card Number? Each Apple Card has a 16-digit virtual card number similar to a traditional credit card, but there's also the device account number, which tracks the iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch through which you're using the card.If you order a physical card, it will have its own unique card number that won't be printed on the card itself. It's not the same as your virtual account number, but the two are linked. So if you change your virtual account number, you'll need to replace the physical card as well. You can view all three of these numbers by selecting the Apple Card in the Wallet app, opening the three-dot menu, and selecting Card Information. What Is Apple Card Daily Cash? Apple Card offers cashback rewards like a traditional credit card, but goes about it a little differently. Instead of waiting a full billing cycle, the Daily Cash rewards you accumulate are processed on a daily basis and show up in your Apple Cash balance the day after you make a purchase.Earn 1 percent on all purchases using the physical card, 2 percent when using the card through Apple Pay, and 3 percent when using Apple Card to pay for Apple's own products and services.
