pcmag.comNoa's teased another budget phone ahead of Mobile World Congress, the 5.5-inch, quad-core N1 that'll set you back a mere €150 (£130) when it goes on sale at the end of March. For that kind of price point, you shouldn't expect miracles and glancing at the spec sheet, it seems that the most obvious weak spot is the resolution; 720x1440 pixels are stretched across that 18:9 aspect ratio screen, which gives you a pixels-per-inch (PPI) count of 292.72; not terrible, but not what you'd call scintillating. Streamed media, photos and video might not look their best on such a display and we wonder what stills and 1080p video (up to 30fps) taken on that 13+5-megapixel dual lens camera will look like. The 1.5GHz quad core MediaTek MT6739 CPU supports VoLTE, and either Cat 4 or Cat 5 radios. There's currently no telling which type of antenna comes in the N1, but on paper you're promised top 4G download speeds of 150Mbps or 300Mbps; how that works out in reality is of course another thing. Again, we don't know how much of that will be taken up by system memory, but luckily there's a microSD slot (officially up to 64GB) so it's not all bad. The 3,000mAh cell should in theory give you enough juice to go a whole day without a charge, but Noa's not shared any official figures for talk and playback times yet. Note that UK pricing hasn't been confirmed and that €150 RRP may vary - at the time of writing, this converts to just over £130, but it could end up costing more. Either way, it's not going to break the bank, meaning the Noa N1 could be the back-up/festival/travel phone you're looking for.
