pcmag.comThe next Fallout game to be released may not be liked by all Fallout fans. That's because it's an online multiplayer survival experience rather than another real entry in the post-apocalyptic role-playing game. Even so, Fallout 76 is sure to prove very popular, but not everyone will get to play it at the same time. Bethesda already announced that Fallout 76 will launch worldwide on Nov. 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, before that launch Bethesda intends to run a beta, and Xbox One owners will gain access to it first. In order to qualify for the beta, Fallout 76 needs to be pre-ordered. On the receipt (or email confirmation) for the pre-order will be a redemption code which needs to be entered on Bethesda.net after logging in. With the code entered and confirmed, you join a list of people Bethesda will contact when the beta goes live. if you ordered digitally using your Xbox One, PS4, or from Bethesda.net directly, you will automatically receive beta access. As part of the FAQ for the beta, Bethesda explains that it will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but that Xbox One owners will definitely get to play it first. PS4 and PC beta access will follow after an unspecified period of time. It could be a few days or a few weeks, we simply don't know yet. In Fallout 76, players can solo play or team with up to three other players. It's an open world environment thought to be four-time as big as Fallout 4 and set in 2012 West Virginia using an alternative version of history. There will be no human non-player characters (NPC) with Bethesda instead relying on a mix of robots, recordings, and terminals for information. If you want in on the beta, be sure to pre-order the game for access. There is no beta release date yet, but with the game launching in November it can't be far off.
