BT Sport is gearing up for its biggest Premier League season yet; while Sky Sports will still show the lion's share of games, BT has scored broadcast rights to 42 Premier League matches for the 2018-19 season. The new deal means that BT Sport will show one live Saturday evening weekend for the next three seasons, in addition to midweek fixtures. BT Sport's now also available to TalkTalk TV customers; in the past customers were limited to getting BT Sport from any of the other pay TV providers - Sky, Virgin Media, BT or Plusnet - or watching online with a BT Broadband or BT Mobile service. How much is BT Sport? A note on prices We've rounded up all of the best BT Sport deals going and along with our similar Sky Sports feature, broken down all of the costs, prices and set-up fees. Note that the prices below are standard, non-offer prices, meaning that any limited time or introductory offers you find may be cheaper, at least until the offer period remains. So, you may see something offered at a lower price from what we're quoting, and then, if you look at the smallprint, you'll see that after, say, 12 or 18 months, a new price applies; as non-standard offer prices are subject to change, we only list non-offer prices. If you're not intending to switch providers and you simply want to see how much BT Sport will cost you, use the index below to jump to the relevant parts of this article. Seeing as in a lot of cases, you'll need a BT Broadband service in order to get BT Sport, you might also want to check out our round up of BT Broadband deals here, as well as our broadband deals round up in general. How much is... What is the BT Sport Pack and can I get BT Sport 1 on its own? BT Sport bundles typically consist of the full set of channels - that's BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport 3, BT Sport ESPN and BoxNation - in standard definition. In most cases this will be referred to as the 'BT Sport Pack'. Most of the time if you want to get these same channels in HD, you'll need to pay a bit extra, but some providers (Virgin Media) bundle in the HD channels as standard. Some providers (TalkTalk) currently don’t give you the option of HD at all. Unless specified, when we say 'BT Sport' in this guide, we’re referring to those four BT Sport channels in SD. As is the case with Sky Sports Premier League, BT Sport 1 is where the all of the Premier League football games will be broadcast. How can I get BT Sport on Sky TV? You've got three ways of getting BT Sport on Sky TV; either paying for it directly or getting it with BT Broadband or Plusnet broadband. However you choose to do it, you'll need both your Sky viewing card number and BT account number to hand when ordering. I thought that Sky and BT had agreed to sell channels directly? Yes that's correct, but you won't be able to do this until "early 2019". How many games can I record on Sky Q? The standard Sky Q set-top box comes with a 1TB hard drive, 700GB of which is set aside for recordings. This gives you room for 500 hours of SD content and 150 hours of HD recordings. The 2TB Sky Q box (aka the Sky Q Silver box) features a bigger 2TB drive, with 1.7TB is set aside for your use: this equates to 1,000 hours of SD recordings and 350 hours of HD recordings. There's no official word from Sky on how much 4k content can be stored on the 2TB Sky Q box. Both Sky Q set-top boxes have the ability to stream content to another TV set via a Sky Q Mini box. Taking a Mini box requires you to take the £12/month Multiscreen add on with your subscription. The first box costs an extra £40 up front, while the second one will cost £99. Sky Q Mini boxes have no hard drives or tuners of their own, but can stream content that’s recorded on the parent Sky Q box and access the same on demand and catch-up services. How much is BT Sport on Sky TV? - Buying directly from BT BT Sport in SD costs £25.99/month and £32.49/month in HD when buying directly through Sky.
