Some major changes are in store for Razer's Blade Stealth, the gaming company's 13-inch ultraportable and smallest laptop. Today at IFA, Razer revealed three new Blade Stealth models with varied designs and updated component configurations. Leading this charge are Intel's brand new 10nm "Ice Lake" mobile processors, seen in very few systems so far, and Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, a feat to incorporate in a laptop of this size. The Stealth was originally introduced as a non-gaming alternative for those who liked the Blade design and wanted something more portable, but graphics options slowly crept into the offerings. Now, they're core to the line, with only the $1,499 entry-level model excluding discrete graphics. Even in that case, the laptop has the beefed-up Iris Plus integrated graphics built into Ice Lake, making it gaming-capable within reason. Following that, a $1,799 middle option introduces the GTX 1650 GPU, while the top $1,999 model keeps the GPU and goes all-in with a 4K touch display. All three will be available at the end of September. We were able to go hands-on with all three units prior to their announcement when Razer visited our office in New York. There's a lot to consider with these new models, so read on for more details, pictures, and impressions.
