(ProArt StudioBook One) BERLIN—Asus opened IFA with a bang, announcing more than a half-dozen new products in addition to its new ROG lineup. They're primarily targeted at creatives, though Asus did announce a new smartwatch and what the company says is the "lightest business laptop on the market." Mac Pro or Asus ProArt? Most of the new products are part of Asus' ProArt series. The ProArt StudioBook One, ProArt StudioBook Pro X, ProArt Station D940MX, and ProArt Display PA32UCG join Apple's Mac Pro and MacBook Pro as well as Microsoft's Surface lineup as devices geared toward content creators who require workstations and laptops that can quickly complete processor- and graphics-intensive tasks. The ProArt StudioBook One runs 9th generation Intel Core i9 processors along with Nvidia's new, top-end mobile GPU for content creators, the GeForce Quadro RTX 6000. The 4K display features a 120Hz refresh rate and has a 100 percent Adobe RGB gamut delta-E rating of less than one to ensure accuracy with graphics work. The ProArt StudioBook Pro X features the Asus ScreenPad 2.0 and a near bezel-less 17-inch display. It can be configured with an Intel Xeon or 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor and has an Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 GPU. There's a CPU-attached RAID drive onboard that offers speeds of up to 6GBps. (Asus ProArt StudioBook Pro X W730G5T) The ProArt Station D940MX is the only workstation announced here at IFA. It features a dual-sided logic board that houses its CPU, GPU, and memory. It's powered by a 9th generation Intel Core i9 processor with up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, a 512GB SSD and 1TB hard drive. (Asus ProArt Station D940MX) Asus also announced the ProArt Display PA32UCG to go along with its workstation. The 4K display has a 120Hz variable-refresh rate and mini-LED backlighting to reach up to 1,000 nits of full-screen sustained brightness. It supports all major HDR standards and DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, sRGB, Rec. 709 and Rec 2020 color space and delivers a delta-E rating of less than one. AsusPro B9: The Lightest Business Laptop (AsusPro B9) Three new ultraportable laptops were also announced at the event: the AsusPro B9, ZenBook ProDuo, and ZenBook Duo. At 1.9 pounds, the AsusPro B9 is the lightest business laptop on the market. And while it features a 14-inch display, it still manages to maintain a small footprint thanks to its 94 percent screen-to-body ration. The AsusPro B9 features 10th generation Intel Core processors and up to 2TB of storage on board. Asus also said its ZenBook Pro and ZenBook Pro Duo, first announced at Computex, will be coming to Europe. Both are ultraportable laptops that feature Asus' ScreenPad Plus, a full-width secondary touch screen that integrates with the display and is similar to the MacBook Pro Touch Bar, but a little wider. The ZenBook Pro Duo features a 9th generation Intel Core Processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. Its 4K touch screen comes in at 15.6 inches and is Pantone Validated. The ZenBook Duo is a smaller laptop with a 14-inch OLED and 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor along with a GeForce MX250 GPU. In addition to a bevy of new laptops, Asus showed off its new VivoWatch SP. Like most smartwatches, it has an array of fitness-tracking options but where it really shines is in its health-monitoring features. The VivoWatch SP can track heart rate, blood pressure, autonomic nerve activity (ANS age), and stress level. Asus also integrated AI features into the watch for daily insights and recommendations as well as fitness recommendations based on your current health. And to ensure you get the most accurate long-term data, the VivoWatch SP can last up to 14 days between charges. Pricing and availability has yet to be announced for any of the items announced.
